GOOD DAY! The story starts with Wilson, a lawyer from New York, moving to Dawson’s Landing, Missouri in 1890. When he makes a sarcastic comment about owning half a dog, the townsfolk don’t understand his comment and think him empty-headed, so they call him Pudd’nhead.

Pudd’nhead Wilson is a true gem, written in 1894 by Mark Twain. Each chapter starts with one or two sayings from “Pudd’nhead Wilson’s Calendar,” displaying Twain’s pessimistically dry humor. Generally speaking the sayings are not related to the plots. It is a must-read for young and old.
