Wednesday Writing – Green Thumb

In response to Green Thumb Challenge

Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

A hardy plant that grows in low or bright sunlight. I rescued it from Mom’s livingroom where it had existed for years. The plant never seemed to change – never growing but never dyeing.

I named hit Marjorie (after my mother) and it resides chairside in our Carolina room (that’s a sunroom or Florida room if you live in Florida).

It thrives on bright morning sunlight and our leftover morning coffee, watered down of course, a warm loving reminder of Mom at home.

On the lower left is a succulent, Hen and Chickens that I rescued from the garden. I had left them outside but there was too much rain for them in this shoe.

You don’t need a Green Thumb to grow either of these plants.
