In response to Green Thumb Challenge
Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
A hardy plant that grows in low or bright sunlight. I rescued it from Mom’s livingroom where it had existed for years. The plant never seemed to change – never growing but never dyeing.
I named hit Marjorie (after my mother) and it resides chairside in our Carolina room (that’s a sunroom or Florida room if you live in Florida).
It thrives on bright morning sunlight and our leftover morning coffee, watered down of course, a warm loving reminder of Mom at home.
On the lower left is a succulent, Hen and Chickens that I rescued from the garden. I had left them outside but there was too much rain for them in this shoe.
You don’t need a Green Thumb to grow either of these plants.
You look to have similar plants to my own, at least from the same family, Ivy and cacti?
Thank you for once again taking part in our challenge.

And I have 2 ferns like those in the post by GC. They are both huge and beautiful, recovered from near death.

Sounds like you really do have green fingers or thumb as Gerry put it! 🙂

Do you find your ferns to be somewhat “unruly? “Emily” my fern has “runners ” all over the place. They seem to grow endlessly. Will they stop growing as winter approaches?

No, no runners. Seems the only thing that restrains them is the size of the pot.

If I replant my ivy into a larger planter will that help stop the runners. The runners are appearing more and more each day. It is a young fern and I don’t want to divide it in half. The ivy was bought in February/March. Appreciate your comments and insight. 🙂

I doubt it. You will probably get more. Doesn’t sound like it is pot bound. Maybe if you cut them off?
