Acceptance doesn’t mean resignation. It means understanding that something is what it is and there’s got to be a way through it
– Michael J, Fox
Life is especially challenging at this point in time. I see people online talking and putting on a happy face. I’d like to say to them, ” I am so happy for you that your life is so perfect,” but I can’t.
I am disgusted, sick and tired, pissed off! Every day I wake up to new numbers of virus cases and deaths and a corrupt, dysfunctional Administration/government that is trying to create one distraction after another in the hope it will just go away. Well, it’s NOT!
Then I think about the wonderful beach 6 miles from my home that I am afraid to go near because it is packed with virus spreaders who just HAD TO HAVE a vacation. The economy must survive! I wonder how much the economy is being hurt by the locals who aren’t contributing. Remember folks – we will be here to support things once those people leave, but we need to feel safe doing it.
I’ve said it over and over – it is time for someone to step up and take charge to get this under control. I wish I had an ounce of confidence that it will happen.
There are people far worse off than me, I know. I do feel bad for them and have tried in small ways to help, but being highly susceptible, I am limited in what I can do. So I continue to shelter in place, use to grocery shopper and curbside pickup, get home deliveries, and read a lot.
Meanwhile, in the words of Michael J. Fox, “something is what it is and there’s got to be a way through it.” I will keep looking and praying!
