The day has arrived. The field is set. The course is the very difficult Tide Water Shores outside of Bay Shores, New Jersey. One Hundred forty-four of the best women’s golfer from around the world tee it up in the first of four majors this year. The youngest is 17-year old Michele Kim of South Korea and the oldest, Lonnie Patrick from Germany.
The ladies starting off this morning will have some weather to contend with, but it is expected to clear and be ideal playing conditions the rest of the weekend.
We will be watching 22-year old Allyson Johanson from the US in her first ever appearance. She tees-off today at 12:32 EST.
… We will be back tomorrow at 10:00 am EST on the GolfStation
Friday – 2nd Round – Cut Day

Welcome to Day 2 of Women’s Golf. Yesterday morning was a real test for the ladies. Wind and rain continued until mid-morning but then sunny skies and mild temperatures moved in. It is a beautiful day today and we are looking forward to seeing some amazing golf.
Our leader is Patricia Dennis who posted an amazing 66, 5 under par. Only 7 other players were under par; but there is a lot of golf to play. Allyson Johanson is right there having posted a 1 under par 70.
Michele Kim struggled early but came around on the back to post an 8 over 79. She needs a good solid round today to be around for the weekend. Lonnie Patrick struggled with her putter, missing several doable short putts and ended her day at 12 over. She will really need to do something amazing today; but, she is a seasoned competitor and could quite possibly come alive.
… We will be back tomorrow at 12:00 pm EST on the GolfStation for Day 3.
Saturday – 3rd Round

Welcome to Day 3 of Women’s Golf. We are down to 70 players with Patricia Dennis still on top at 7 under par. She had a nice solid round but didn’t gain any ground on the field. This is not an easy golf course; it is a real test of their ability. There aren’t many chances to make up ground.
As we expected though, Allyson Johanson hung in all day and made some clutch putts to post a 4 under 67 for the day, only 2 strokes off the lead and tied with 2 other players.
Michele Kim shot an even par round to grab the last spot for the weekend. Lonnie Patrick continued her struggles with the greens and missed the cut.
… We will be back tomorrow at 2:30 pm EST on the CCS for Final Day coverage of Women‘s Golf.
Sunday – Final Day

Welcome to final day coverage of Women’s Golf. Some spectacular golf was played yesterday and we have a packed leader board. So it should be an exciting finish today.
Allyson Johanson and Patricia Dennis are tied for the lead at 8 under. Sue Wi-Kon is in second at 7 under and Gisela Herman has the fourth spot back 3 from the leaders.
… We pick up coverage on 18
What an exciting day it has been. She have seen 8 lead changes between Johanson, Dennis and Wi-Kon. Johanson has the lead going to the final holes. Sue Wi-Kon is just in and posted a 67. Allyson Johanson needs a par. But Patricia Dennis could take over with an eagle.
… And CCS cuts coverage to show the Men’s Golf. More than OOPS!!
