Tall trees, pines and oaks
Clustered in a yard
Shutting out the sun
Shedding and sheddimg
Needles, cones, leaves and more.
Do you chop or trim?
Our neighbors told us they were going to take trees down. But today they were just “badly cropped.” I wonder why the change in plans. So many trees for such a small yard.
I love trees. When we moved into our house, we were fortunate to have several large mature maples that the original owners of the house had left when they built. I love them, especially on hot summer days when you need an escape from the heat and humidity.
It always makes me sad to think of cutting down mature trees. But…I love sunlight as well. It’s a dilemma.

The previous owners of our house took down trees before us. The tall pines don’t do much except cover the ground with needles and hugh pine cones.

I can see where you’re coming from on this one. Those trees don’t serve any useful purpose. Lots of logs for log stoves though.

Take out the two thinner ones.

Thanks. They are on our neighbors and the golf course’s property. The only benefit to any of them is occasionally they stop a golf ball from hitting the house 😆
