Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his needs, is good for him.

For 100 years children have grown up reading Dr. Seuss. From his books they have learned to count and the alphabet by cartoon characters and rhyme. They have learned to read!
Now, 100 years later, it seems someone wants to brand these stories as racist and dangerous to building socially responsible adults. Someone wants these books banned. Where does a line get drawn? Who draws that line? This was incorrectly reported!
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
WHAT??? Why can’t we accept that things that happened in the past, books that were written in the past are from a different time when different things were acceptable? If we erase the past, how are we to learn from it and avoid repeating it? This is so frustrating.

I feel the same way. Turns out Dr. Seuss organization has agreed to stop publishing 6 books. I think people have gone crazy.
