How is a hospital like a kaleidoscope?

I had a dream…

Sinking deep into crisp white linens, a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds and smells engulfed the room.

Humans in crisp white linens moved methodically about the room

Performing their assigned tasks like a well trained orchestra.

Shining metal spheres hung overhead, spaceships in a cerulean sea.

Humans poking, prodding my very being yet no words roll from their tongues.

And then, a voice above my head, “You are getting sleepy,” And I was gone.

Do you know what I am describing here? Would you guess a surgical room?

I recently underwent a short surgical procedure related to my essential tremors. This is where I got the inspiration for this story. Inspiration comes from many odd situations, wouldn’t you agree?
